Therefore, this Privacy Policy sets out how the collection, use, and transfer of information from customers or other people who access or use our website and register to participate in selection processes to participate in UX studies or market research is carried out.

Thus, Glaucia Holzmann Apoio Administrativo ME, registered with CNPJ under number 16.624.817/0001-70, and Eitan Bernard Rosenthal, registered with CNPJ under number 15.277.923/0001-62, companies responsible for the brands: GigaHertz, GigaHertz Pesquisas and GHz Research Fieldwork Latam, hereinafter referred to simply as GigaHertz, in the role of Data Controllers, are bound by the provisions of this Privacy Policy.

1. What data do we collect about you and for what purpose?

Our website only collects your data if you register for one of our selection processes for recruiting participants for Market Research or Usability Studies (UX), using a specific form for each project.

If you participate in any recruitment process, your personal data will be used to assess whether you fit the profiles we are looking for. Whether or not you are selected, we keep your data to inform you about future projects that may need participants with a profile similar to yours.

In addition, cookies will automatically collect statistical information without identifying your name, such as information about your computer, including your IP address, geographic location, browser type and version, and operating system; information about your visits to and use of this website, including the referral source, length of visit, page views and navigation paths within the website.

1.1. Personal data provided by the holder, when registering for selection processes to participate in surveys:

  • Name, telephone, and email, to allow direct contact

  • Demographic data (gender, sexual orientation, city, state, zip code, age, marital status, education, income range, work situation, ethnicity), for evaluating and selecting profiles.

  • Data are specific to the study whose selection process you apply for, for evaluation and selection of profiles.

  • Information about your computer, including your IP address, geographic location, browser type, and version, and operating system;

  • Information about your visits to and use of this website, including the referral source, duration of visit, page views, and navigation paths within the website.

2. How do we collect your personal data?

The collection of your personal data occurs exclusively if you fill out any of our specific participant recruitment forms for Market Research and/or Usability Study (UX).

Thus, in line with the General Data Protection Law, your data will only be collected, processed, and stored with prior and express consent.

Your consent will be obtained specifically for each purpose described above, evidencing GigaHertz's commitment to transparency and good faith towards its users (candidates to participate in research or studies), following the relevant legislative regulations.

By using GigaHertz services and providing your personal data, you are aware of and consent to the provisions of this Privacy Policy and know your rights and how to exercise them.

At any time and at no cost, you may withdraw your consent.

It is important to highlight that the revocation of consent for the processing of data may imply the impossibility of the proper performance of some functionality of the website that depends on the operation. Such consequences will be informed in advance.

3. What are your rights?

GigaHertz guarantees its users (candidates to participate in surveys or studies) their rights as provided for in article 18 of the General Data Protection Law. This way, you can, free of charge and at any time:

  • Confirm the existence of data processing, in a simplified way or in a clear and complete format.

  • Access your data, being able to request them in a readable copy in printed form or electronically, safe and reputable.

  • Correct your data, when requesting its edition, correction or update.

  • Limit your data when unnecessary, excessive or treated in violation of the legislation through anonymization, blocking or deletion.

  • Request the portability of your data, through a registration data report that GigaHertz treats about you.

  • Delete your processed data based on your consent, except in cases provided for by law.

  • Revoke your consent, disallowing the processing of your data.

  • Inform yourself about the possibility of not giving your consent and the consequences of the refusal.

5. How and for how long will your data be stored?

Your personal data collected by GigaHertz will be used and stored for the time necessary to provide the service or to achieve the purposes listed in this Privacy Policy, considering the rights of data subjects and controllers.

In general, your data will be kept indefinitely. At any time you can request the deletion of yours. Upon receipt of the request, your data will be deleted from our databases or anonymized, except for the hypotheses legally provided for in article 16 general data protection law, namely:

6. What do we do to keep your data safe?

To keep your personal information safe, we use physical, electronic, and managerial tools aimed at protecting your privacy.

We apply these tools taking into account the nature of the personal data collected, the context and purpose of the treatment, and the risks that possible violations could generate for the rights and freedoms of the holder of the data collected and processed.

It is possible that, despite all our security protocols, problems that are solely the fault of third parties may occur, such as cyber-attacks by hackers, or also as a result of negligence or imprudence by the user himself (candidate to participate in research or studies).

In the event of a security incident that could generate significant risk or damage to you or any of our users/customers, we will notify those affected and the National Data Protection Authority of the incident, in line with the provisions of the General Data Protection Law. Data.

7. With whom may your data be shared?

In order to preserve your privacy, GigaHertz will not share your personal data with any unauthorized third party.

Your data may be shared with our research client or specific study to which you have submitted your data to enroll in the selection process.

These receive their data only to the extent necessary for the provision of contracted services and our contracts are guided by the norms of data protection of the Brazilian legal system.

However, there are other hypotheses in which your data may be shared, which are:

III – Protection of GigaHertz's rights in any type of conflict, including legal ones.

7.1. International data transfer

Some of our customers, with whom we will eventually share your data, may be located or have facilities located in foreign countries. Under these conditions, in any case, your personal data will be subject to the General Data Protection Law and other Brazilian data protection legislation.

If the National Data Protection Authority requires the adoption of measures regarding data processing carried out by GigaHertz, we undertake to follow them.

As mentioned in Topic 6, although we adopt high-security standards to prevent incidents, no virtual page is entirely risk-free. In this regard, GigaHertz is not responsible for:

  • Any consequences arising from the negligence, imprudence, or malpractice of users in relation to their individual data. We guarantee and are only responsible for the security of the data processing processes and the fulfillment of the purposes described in this instrument.

    We emphasize that the user is responsible for the confidentiality of access data.

  • Malicious actions by third parties, such as hacker attacks, unless proven to be culpable or deliberate by GigaHertz.

    We emphasize that, in case of security incidents that may generate risk or relevant damage for you or any of our users/customers, we will inform the affected and the National Data Protection Authority about what happened and we will comply with the necessary measures.

  • Inaccuracy of the information entered by the user/customer in the records necessary for the use of GigaHertz services; any consequences arising from false information or entered in bad faith are the sole responsibility of the user (candidate to participate in surveys or studies).
